Job Title:         WAREHOUSE & HGV OPERATIVE

 

Summary of Position

Warehouse & HGV Operative position will include movement of cargo loaded trailers both on and off site. The Warehouse & HGV Operative is responsible for assisting with the movement of goods, products and materials within the warehouse and onto transport. The Warehouse & HGV Operative is also responsible for the operation of warehouse machinery and equipment and is responsible for the general housekeeping of the warehouse.

 

Responsibilities / Principal Duties

·    To deliver the highest standard of service to all customers

·    To assist with the safe loading, handling and unloading of cargo/materials

·    To assist with the hand-balling of cargo/materials

·    To ensure that incoming cargo/materials are stored, stacked and distributed according to company procedures and instructions from your manager

·    To ensure the warehouse is kept tidy, clean and secure

·    To process and organise the delivery and/or collection of all materials to and from the warehouse according to company procedures and as requested by Company’s customers

·    To process all necessary documentation within the warehouse and complete all relevant system transactions

·    To operate the Company’s equipment, plant and machinery, which may include forklifts and clamps, in a proper, safe and efficient manner in accordance with the Company’s procedures and policies

·    Any other duties the management may from time to time deem necessary and reasonably require.

 

  Essential Requirements:

·         Forklift Licence Certification

·         Power pallet truck tickets with HGV category C and CE Licenses

·         All relevant CPCs in date

  • Proven experience with multiple trailer configuration Fridge , Box, Curtain siders , Tippers , low loaders , double decker etc would be an advantage, but training will be given.

  • Full clean articulated HGV licence 

Salary: DOE

Contract:  Fixed-Term 12-month contract
